Economatics chooses Wax Digital for integrated eBusiness
Economatics Group has deployed a series of modules from the Wax Digital Accelerated Performance Suite to deliver several market-specific webshops, underpinned by an integrated product data management solution.
The group operates in two
core markets; as a leading national engineering distributor in the industrial
market and also for the supply of science and technology teaching products into
schools in the UK and overseas.
As part of a major growth initiative the group has selected Wax Digital to help open new routes to market through electronic commerce, and to deliver an extensible platform to meet plans for future supply chain collaboration.
Electronic trade is a central part of our growth strategy
for the group. By placing Wax Digital ESB at the heart of our IT infrastructure
we are able to rapidly meet our short term goal of enabling customers
to build and place orders electronically whilst also providing for a future
in which we intend to electronically enable all aspects of our supply
and demand chain.

The complete solution delivers:
- A single, central repository of product data across the group's disparate operations
